Malayalam film Drishyam 3 wrapped its second weekend on a good note. The movie collected Rs. 13.60 crore in its second weekend in Kerala, which is nearly 65 per cent down compared to its 4-day opening weekend haul. The Mohanlal starrer added Rs. 4.85 crore on its second Sunday, witnessing a 50 per cent drop from its previous Sunday, which is a good hold.
The crime thriller, directed by Jeethu Joseph, took its running cume of 11 days to Rs. 76.30 crore gross at the Kerala box office. The movie is expected to keep gaining traction further as well and cross the Rs. 80 crore mark, possibly by Tuesday. From there, it will need to score Rs. 20 crore more to hit the century in its home turf.
Based on current trends, the movie has a chance to challenge the top grossers of Malayalam cinema at the Kerala box office: Vaazha 2, Lokah Chapter One: Chandra, and Thudarum.
