Lenin, starring Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashri Borse in the lead roles, arrived in theatres on July 10, 2026. After completing its theatrical run, the romantic action drama is now gearing up for its digital premiere.

Lenin will begin streaming on ZEE5 from August 7, 2026. Announcing the digital release on social media, the streaming platform wrote, “The roar begins. A story of love, revenge, and revolution is all set to take over your screens.”

Set in the 1990s in the village of Srirampuram, Lenin follows the journey of an orphan named Lenin, who is brought up by the respected widow Jayanthi as her own son. The village is known for its annual Draupadi festival, during which violence is strictly forbidden as part of a long-standing tradition.
After serving a lengthy prison sentence, Lenin returns to his hometown only to discover that the villagers have turned against him. Amid preparations for the festival, he falls in love with Bharathi, while his foster brother Vasanth is engaged to marry Bharathi’s elder sister. When Bharathi chooses Lenin instead, Vasanth decides to support their relationship despite his own feelings.
As old rivalries and buried grudges resurface, tensions begin to tear the village apart. A violent incident during the sacred festival shatters the age-old custom of peace, and Lenin takes responsibility to protect those close to him, leading to his imprisonment.
Years later, Lenin comes back to find Srirampuram still consumed by conflict. Determined to break the cycle of violence once and for all, he takes on those responsible for the unrest while striving to reunite his family and restore harmony to the village.

Written and directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, Lenin is jointly produced by Nagarjuna Akkineni and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the banners Annapurna Studios and Sithara Entertainments. The film’s music and background score are composed by S. Thaman, with PS Vinod handling cinematography and Naveen Nooli serving as editor.
