Chand Mera Dil wrapped its second weekend at Rs. 5 crore, with nearly Rs. 2 crore coming on Sunday. The movie recorded a nominal jump of 10 per cent over Saturday. When compared to the first Sunday, the movie witnessed a drop of 55 per cent, which is significant.
The Lakshya and Ananya Panday starrer took its 10-day running cume to Rs. 23.20 crore nett at the Indian box office. Directed by Vivek Soni, the romantic drama is looking to cross the Rs. 25 crore mark by the end of its second week, after which it will face a couple of new releases, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Peddi, and Bandar, from the third weekend onwards. With the arrival of these new titles, the box office momentum of Chand Mera Dil is expected to slow down even more.
Backed by Dharma Productions, Chand Mera Dil garnered a mixed-bag reactions among the audience, which is why it is struggling to gain traction and penetrate into its targeted audience.
