Dhamaal 4 maintained a strong hold at the box office on its second Monday, earning Rs. 3.25 crore. The Indra Kumar directorial witnessed a 38 per cent drop compared to its second Friday collections. With this, the comedy entertainer’s second-week earnings reached Rs. 30.50 crore in four days. Adding its first-week collection of Rs. 95.25 crore, the Ajay Devgn starrer has now crossed the Rs. 125 crore nett mark in India.

The film is expected to collect around Rs. 40 crore in its second week, taking its overall business to approximately Rs. 135 crore nett. Dhamaal 4 is certain to cross the Rs. 150 crore milestone and is currently targeting a lifetime collection of around Rs. 160 crore nett. Its final total, however, will depend on how well the film performs in its fourth week when it faces competition from Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

The Ajay Devgn-led comedy has already emerged as a Clean Hit, becoming Bollywood’s fourth such success of the year after Border 2, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, and Bhooth Bangla. Three of these films belong to established franchises, while the fourth is a quasi-Bhool Bhulaiyaa film. Although franchise fatigue was widely discussed last year after several sequels underperformed, the recent box office trend clearly suggests that audiences continue to show strong interest in successful franchises. Even Welcome to the Jungle might have managed to succeed in a less competitive scenario, but such favourable conditions are never guaranteed.
