Carry On Jatta 4 concluded its opening week with a Rs. 14.50 crore gross total at the Indian box office. The Punjabi comedy earned Rs. 75 lakh on its seventh day (Thursday), registering a 15 percent decline from an already subdued Wednesday.
While the Gippy Grewal starrer has delivered a respectable first-week performance overall, the sharp drop in collections over the final two weekdays has raised concerns about its long-term box office prospects.
Earlier projections suggested the film could finish its theatrical run at around Rs. 30 crore gross. However, based on the current trend, it now appears more likely to end its run in the Rs. 25 crore range. If collections dip further during the second week, the final total could even fall below Rs. 25 crore, which would be less than half the lifetime business of Carry On Jatta 3.
Recent Punjabi film sequels have struggled to match the success of their predecessors. Titles such as Bambukat 2, Nikka Zaildar 4, and Godday Godday Chaa 2 underperformed, while Saunkan Saunkanay 2 also fell short of expectations. Against that backdrop, Carry On Jatta 4 has fared comparatively better, although its second-week hold will determine how successful its overall run turns out to be.
