Main Vaapas Aaunga collected Rs. 2.50 crore nett approx on its 2nd Monday, which is yet another over 100 per cent week-on-week growth from last week. The 2nd Monday is also higher than the 2nd Friday by about 25 per cent. This brings the eleven-day running total for the film to Rs. 27 crore nett approx, including Rs. 14.50 crore nett approx from four days of the 2nd week.

With this Monday hold, the film is now in contention to be a success, although there is still considerable ground to cover. The full second week is expected to be around Rs. 22 crore nett, which will take the total collections to Rs. 34-35 crore nett. To push beyond Rs. 60 crore nett, the film will need to maintain drops of under 50 per cent over the next three weeks, preferably closer to 40 per cent. There is going to be competition from Welcome to the Jungle, Alpha and Dhamaal 4 in the next three weeks, so it won’t be easy.

Also crucial is going to be overseas. The film was unable to fully capitalise on its growing momentum this week due to severe showcasing cuts in its second weekend. In Australia, it was down to just five cinemas from 57 in its opening week, while in the United States it was playing in fewer than 20 locations. The hope will be for showcasing to improve in the next week, as the film has potential to do good biz overseas. The current total stands at USD 1.30 million. If all goes well, it can go on to collect around or over USD 3 million.

The Box Office Collections of Main Vaapas Aaunga in India are as follows:

2nd Friday Rs. 2.00 cr.
2nd Saturday Rs. 4.50 cr.
