Is Blast heading to OTT soon?
According to industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai, Blast is expected to premiere on Netflix. Reports suggest that the film could begin streaming from June 25, 2026. However, the makers and the platform are yet to make an official announcement regarding the OTT release date.
About the film
Blast revolves around Rajaram, a karate instructor who leads a simple middle-class life with his wife Neelaveni and daughter Nila. Their peaceful existence takes a dramatic turn when they become entangled with a powerful corporate syndicate. Forced into a dangerous situation, the family must rely on their martial arts expertise to survive, uncover a large-scale conspiracy, and fight for justice.
Apart from Arjun Sarja, Preity Mukhundhan, and Abhirami, the film also stars John Kokken, Vivek Prasanna, Arjun Chidambaram, Dileepan, Pawan, and Vinod Sagar in significant roles.
The movie is written and directed by Subash K. Raj and produced by Kalpathi S. Aghoram, Kalpathi S. Ganesh, and Kalpathi S. Suresh under the AGS Entertainment banner. The soundtrack and background score were composed by Ravi Basrur, while Arun Radhakrishnan handled cinematography and Pradeep E. Ragav took charge of editing.
Preity Mukhundhan’s upcoming projects
On the professional front, Preity Mukhundhan is gearing up for the release of Idhayam Murali, a coming-of-age romantic drama centered around unrequited love. The film stars Atharvaa Murali in the lead role and also features Fahadh Faasil in a pivotal character.
Written and directed by Aakash Baskaran, the movie boasts an ensemble cast including Kayadu Lohar, Natty Subramaniam, Niharika NM, Rakshan, Dravid, Angeline, Pragya, Sudhakar, and Yashashree.
Ahead of its July 10, 2026 theatrical release, the makers recently unveiled the song Vaama Vaama, composed by Thaman S., who also makes a special appearance in the film.
Besides Idhayam Murali, Preity has several exciting projects lined up, including Emo Emo Idi and Naagzilla.
