Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar have been making headlines after the Dhurandhar actor reportedly faced a ban from FWICE. Now, it appears that Salman Khan may have stepped in as a mediator in the Don 3 row.
Did Salman Khan step in to broker peace between Farhan Akhtar and Ranveer Singh?
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Salman Khan is fond of both Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar. A source reportedly revealed that Salman personally reached out to both parties and urged them to resolve their issues without affecting the future of their respective projects. He also allegedly explained to Farhan Akhtar that creative differences have always been common in the film industry.
The source further added that Salman had a detailed conversation with Ranveer Singh to understand his perspective and is now trying to ensure that neither side feels sabotaged.
For those unaware, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) reportedly issued a Non-Cooperation Directive (NCD) against Ranveer Singh over the ongoing controversy surrounding Don 3. The actor was earlier announced as the lead for the third installment of the franchise. However, his reported exit from the project allegedly caused losses worth Rs. 45 crore to Excel Entertainment.
Farhan Akhtar reportedly claimed that he suffered professional setbacks as an actor, as his dates had already been blocked for directing the film, which had entered the pre-production stage.
Speaking about the directive, FWICE President Birendra Nath Tiwari stated that the non-cooperation notice had been implemented with immediate effect and that no member of the film body would work with Ranveer Singh.
Later, in an official statement, Ranveer Singh’s spokesperson said that the actor deliberately chose to remain silent amid the recent developments surrounding Don 3, believing that professional matters and personal equations should be handled with dignity and maturity.
The spokesperson further added that despite the speculation surrounding the project, Ranveer never felt the need to respond publicly and remains focused on his work and upcoming commitments. The statement concluded by saying that the actor continues to hold goodwill toward everyone involved and wishes the franchise continued success.
