Veteran Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor recently addressed the false rumors surrounding his death after misinformation spread rapidly across social media. The actor took matters into his own hands by sharing a video online to assure fans that he is healthy and doing perfectly fine.

The shocking death hoax left many fans and members of the film industry concerned after several misleading posts falsely claimed that Shakti Kapoor had passed away. The rumors quickly gained traction online, creating confusion and panic among his followers.
To put an end to the speculation, the veteran actor shared a selfie video on Instagram on Thursday night. Appearing calm yet disappointed by the incident, Kapoor addressed his fans directly while dressed casually in a purple vest.
In the video, he clarified, “Hello everyone. My death news is all fake. I am healthy, happy. Please ignore it.”
The actor also expressed frustration over the spread of false information and revealed that he intends to take legal action against those responsible. He stated that he plans to file a cyber complaint regarding the hoax and added that such misinformation is unacceptable.
Soon after the video surfaced online, social media was flooded with supportive comments from fans and well-wishers. Many users celebrated the fact that the beloved actor was safe, while others affectionately referred to him by his iconic comic character, Crime Master Gogo.
This is not the first time a Bollywood veteran has become the target of fake death rumors online. Earlier, Raza Murad also faced similar misinformation on social media.
On the professional front, Shakti Kapoor was last seen in Mere Husband Ki Biwi, directed by Mudassar Aziz. The film starred Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles.
