Darling 4K re-release is enjoying a strong run at the box office. The romantic comedy starring Prabhas and Kajal Aggarwal collected an impressive ₹7.25 crore gross during its opening weekend in India. The film opened solidly with approxiomately ₹4.70 crore and, despite minor drops over the next two days, maintained a healthy weekend total.
Directed by A. Karunakaran, the film performed best in its home markets. It earned around ₹3.75 crore from Nizam, ₹2.20 crore from Andhra, and ₹45 lakh from Ceeded, taking its subtotal in AP/TS to approximately ₹6.40–6.70 crore. Outside these regions, the film added about ₹70 lakh from Karnataka and ₹15 lakh from the rest of India.
Originally released in 2010, Darling was a blockbuster, and its successful re-run highlights its enduring popularity. The continued pull of Prabhas’ stardom has played a major role in drawing audiences back to theatres even after more than a decade.
Based on current trends, the film is expected to maintain momentum and could close its first week at around ₹10 crore in India.
