Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s intimate Tuscany wedding has long been remembered as a fairytale celebration. But years later, a surprising behind-the-scenes incident has come to light — a gatecrasher who almost slipped through the high-security event.
How the intruder made his way in
Yaseen Khan, founder of YK Security, who managed the couple’s wedding arrangements, recently revealed details of the incident in a conversation with Hindi Rush.
According to him, a man arrived at the venue dressed like royalty, stepping out of a luxury car with bouncers accompanying him — making his presence seem legitimate at first glance. However, the security team quickly grew suspicious.
Suspicion raised inside the venue
The individual reportedly introduced himself as a relative of one of the guests. While inside, he was seen taking photos with attendees before quietly retreating to a corner — behavior that raised red flags among the staff.
Sensing something was off, the security team alerted event managers and cross-checked the guest list.
Swift action by security
Upon verification, it was discovered that the man had only been invited to a later reception in Delhi — not the private wedding ceremony in Tuscany.
The team then confronted him and requested that he leave the premises. While he initially resisted and argued, he was eventually escorted out, ensuring the exclusivity of the ceremony remained intact.
A wedding that stayed private
Despite the attempted breach, the wedding of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma on December 11, 2017, remained one of the most private and well-guarded celebrity events, attended only by close family and friends.
Even the most tightly secured celebrity weddings can face unexpected challenges — but in this case, swift action ensured that Kohli and Anushka’s dream celebration stayed as intimate as planned.
