Zareen Khan’s mother passes away
Zareen Khan and her sister Sana Khan are currently facing a profound loss that will leave a lasting void in their lives. Their mother, Parveen Khan, passed away on April 8, 2026, after a prolonged illness.
The heartbreaking news was confirmed by Zareen’s team. In an official statement, the family shared, “This is to inform that our beloved Ms Parveen Khan, mother of Zareen Khan and Sana Khan, has departed peacefully to her heavenly abode on the 8th of April.”
Adding to her grief, Zareen experienced another personal loss just a day earlier. On April 7, 2026, she lost her pet cat, Rambo. The actress shared the news along with a picture, writing, “My baby left me this morning to unite with his siblings. Rest in Peace, mera bachcha, mera Rambo. 18.07.2011–07.04.2026.”
For those unaware, Zareen has long been the sole breadwinner of her family and had been taking care of her mother. In a previous interview, she revealed that she began working right after completing her Class 12 education to support her household.
She shared that her father had left the family, leaving them in financial difficulty. Determined to support her mother and sister, Zareen took up a job at a call centre while her sister continued her studies.
“I had just completed my 12th, and my sister was still studying. I wanted to work in the airline industry too. I lost over 52 kilos—almost like shedding an entire person,” she had said.
