Dhurandhar: The Revenge Box Office Update – 2nd Monday Performance
Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Hindi) collected approximately ₹21.5 crore nett on its second Monday at the Indian box office. While this marks a 42% drop from Friday, the decline looks less severe when adjusted for the Ram Navami holiday in some states, bringing the effective drop closer to 35%.
Typically, films that perform strongly in urban centers see weekday dips before bouncing back over the weekend—and Dhurandhar: The Revenge is expected to follow the same trend.
This Monday performance ranks as the second-highest 2nd Monday of all time, trailing only the first Dhurandhar, which had an extraordinary ₹29 crore nett. The original had a slow start but picked up momentum in its second week. The sequel, in contrast, smashed almost every opening record and is now settling into a more conventional box office trajectory.
Overall Collections So Far
The Ranveer Singh starrer has amassed ₹742.5 crore nett in India, with ₹172 crore nett coming from four days of the second week alone. Today being a holiday is expected to give collections an additional boost. The full second week is projected to reach around ₹220–225 crore nett, which would put its total over the original film’s lifetime and just shy of the ₹800 crore mark.
Regional Highlights
The film has already set a new record in Mysore for a Hindi release.
East Punjab collections are expected to follow tomorrow, then Delhi-UP, APTs, Tamil Nadu-Kerala, and Mumbai.
Gujarat, which underperformed slightly for the first film, has surpassed its predecessor but is unlikely to set a new record.
Other parts of the Hindi belt may find breaking records challenging, though West Bengal could still offer surprises.
Road to ₹1000 Crore?
Monday’s collections keep the film on track for the ₹1000 crore nett benchmark (Hindi only), though it may be a close call. If Monday had brought in ₹22–23 crore, the path would have been smoother. Fortunately, an extra open week due to the postponement of Bhooth Bangla, combined with upcoming holidays, should support its run.
Beating Pushpa 2 as India’s highest-grossing film looks unlikely at this point unless something unexpected happens in the coming weeks.
