Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is continuing its strong run at the box office, showing massive audience pull even on weekdays.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy action drama delivered a huge ₹56–57 crore nett on its first Monday, marking the biggest non-holiday Monday ever for a Bollywood film in the Hindi market.

Strong Five-Day Run

Backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film has now reached a total of around ₹444 crore nett in just five days, including paid previews.

This kind of hold at the box office has helped it surpass the previous record holder—Salman Khan’s Tiger 3.

While Tiger 3 also collected around ₹56 crore on its first Monday, that figure came on a holiday period (its second day), whereas Dhurandhar 2 achieved it on a regular working day, making the achievement even more significant.

Post-Pandemic Box Office Shift

What stands out in the list of biggest first Mondays in Hindi cinema is the dominance of post-pandemic releases. Out of the top 10 films, seven belong to the post-COVID era, reflecting how audience turnout patterns have changed in recent years.

Only a few pre-pandemic titles—like Tiger Zinda Hai, Housefull 4, and Krrish 3—still hold their place in the rankings.

  1. Dhurandhar 2 – ₹56–57 crore (2026, Non-holiday)

  2. Tiger 3 – ₹56 crore (2023, Holiday)

  3. Border 2 – ₹53.5 crore (2026, Holiday)
