Rahu Ketu has unfortunately turned out to be another box office disappointment. Starring the popular Fukrey duo Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma, the film failed to strike a chord with audiences, which was clearly reflected in its weak opening week numbers.
The comedy drama opened to ₹90 lakh on Day 1, but collections steadily declined over the week, dropping to just ₹30 lakh on Day 7. As a result, Rahu Ketu wrapped up its first week with a modest ₹5.50 crore net at the Indian box office.
The only minor consolation for the film is that it managed to outperform its direct competitors, Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jasoos and One Two Cha Cha Chaa. However, this advantage does little to change the bigger picture, as the film showed no real momentum or growth in its day-to-day collections.
Directed by Vipul Vig, the Pulkit Samrat–Varun Sharma starrer is now facing stiff competition from Sunny Deol’s big-ticket action entertainer Border 2. With such a massive release dominating screens, Rahu Ketu is nearing the end of its theatrical run and is unlikely to hold ground any longer. The film is expected to close its lifetime business at around ₹5.75–6 crore net in India.

For those unfamiliar, Rahu Ketu revolves around two quirky characters who are born out of writer Churu Lal’s magical notebook. The duo embarks on a chaotic journey to retrieve the notebook from the cunning Meenu Taxi. Apart from Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma, the film also features Shalini Pandey, Chunky Pandey, Piyush Mishra, Manu Rishi Chadha, Amit Sial, and Sumit Gulati in key roles.
