Kartik Aaryan’s latest romantic comedy, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, has made its way to cinemas and begun its box office journey. Directed by Sameer Vidwans, the film opened with an estimated Rs. 8.50 crore on Day 1 at the Indian box office. It’s worth noting that a significant portion of this figure comes from advance bookings, and the actual footfall-driven number may be slightly lower.
Even so, the opening has earned the film a notable place in Kartik Aaryan’s career, making it his fourth-biggest opening day so far. The actor’s strongest Day 1 performance continues to be Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which collected Rs. 33.25 crore net upon release. That film benefited from a Diwali weekend release and a high-profile box office clash with Singham Again.
The second spot belongs to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, which opened to Rs. 13.50 crore, followed by Love Aaj Kal, which despite underperforming overall, managed a respectable Rs. 11.50 crore opening. With its current numbers, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri comfortably slots into the fourth position on the list.
Interestingly, Kartik Aaryan’s biggest opening days have largely come from sequels, which dominate the top three spots. These remain the only films in his career so far to cross the double-digit mark on Day 1, highlighting the strong recall and audience trust associated with established franchises.
