South Korean actor Park Hae Soo is celebrating a new addition to his family. The Squid Game star and his wife have welcomed their second child, a baby boy. Their son was born on August 23, and Park’s agency, BH Entertainment, confirmed that both the mother and newborn are healthy.

Park Hae Soo married his wife in January 2019, and the couple became parents for the first time in 2021. With the arrival of their second son, the family is now four members strong.
According to The Chosun Daily, a representative from BH Entertainment revealed that Park is currently with his wife at the hospital following the birth. The agency confirmed that the newborn and his mother are both doing well.
Park Hae Soo revealed wife’s pregnancy in July
The actor had publicly shared the news of his wife’s second pregnancy during an event on July 31. While accepting his first Best Actor award for the thriller series The Scarecrow, Park Hae Soo spoke emotionally about his growing family.
He revealed that the couple had affectionately named their unborn son “Chukbok-i,” expressing that the name represented the blessings the child had brought into his life.
Park also sent a heartfelt message to his wife, who was watching the ceremony from home, and celebrated the arrival of their “second blessing.”
Later, speaking with Sports Chosun, the actor explained that he wanted to share the happy news publicly because the pregnancy was a joyful and meaningful occasion. He also revealed that concerns during the early stages of the pregnancy had prevented him from informing everyone earlier.
Park Hae Soo’s upcoming projects
Professionally, Park Hae Soo has several projects lined up. He will next appear in Netflix’s crime thriller Paper Man, where he stars alongside Jo Jung Suk and Claudia Kim. He plays Oh Seung Eop, the First Deputy Director of the Anti-Counterfeiting Division at the Korea Mint.
The actor is also attached to The Great Bang Ok Sook and Sad Tropics.
