ZEROBASEONE member Kim Ji Woong is adding another major acting project to his portfolio. The idol-actor has officially been confirmed as the lead of the upcoming thriller drama Siren (working title), which is currently in the pre-production stage.

According to a September 4 report by JTBC Entertainment News, Kim Ji Woong has been cast as the protagonist of Siren, with filming expected to commence soon. His agency, Nest Management, later confirmed the casting, stating, “It is true that Kim Ji Woong will be starring as the lead in Siren.”
The upcoming project is planned as a multi-format production, with the story being developed across a film, mid-form content, and short-form episodes. This format will allow the narrative to be presented in different runtimes while retaining its core mystery-driven storyline.
Kim Ji Woong’s role and Siren plot
Siren revolves around a third-generation chaebol and academy student who teams up with a highly skilled researcher from a regular background. The unlikely duo works together to investigate a series of cases, with their vastly different social backgrounds expected to add an interesting layer to their partnership.
Kim Ji Woong will play Do Yoon, a third-generation chaebol heir who is also an academy student. The role gives the ZEROBASEONE member another chance to explore a new dimension of his acting skills.
