Telugu action drama Irumudi witnessed a strong hold on its second day, collecting around Rs. 17.50 crore in India after its impressive opening. The Telugu-speaking markets contributed approximately Rs. 15 crore, while the film added another Rs. 4.50 crore from overseas. This took its worldwide Day 2 gross to nearly Rs. 22 crore.
With this, Irumudi has accumulated around Rs. 44.50 crore worldwide in just two days. The Ravi Teja-led film is now heading towards a Blockbuster verdict. Despite benefiting from a holiday on Day 1, the movie managed to improve its business on Saturday in the Telugu states, a rare feat for a major release. The film recorded around 80–90% occupancy and still showed growth in collections.
The movie has also crossed the USD 1 million mark in overseas markets, marking a first for Ravi Teja. If the positive momentum continues, Irumudi could potentially reach USD 2 million overseas. With encouraging audience reports and a strong hold, the film is expected to post impressive opening-weekend numbers. Its controlled production costs could further help it emerge as a profitable venture for all stakeholders.
