Vishwanath & Sons collected Rs. 4.50 crore on its Day 7 (Thursday), registering a 10 per cent drop from the previous day. The movie wrapped its opening week at Rs. 91.25 crore gross at the Indian box office.

Directed by Venky Atluri, the movie recorded a good opening week; however, considering the cost, it is underwhelming. The Suriya starrer will cross the Rs. 100 crore mark on its second Saturday. How far the movie can go from there on will depend on its hold on the weekdays.

The day-wise box office collections for Vishwanath & Sons in India are as follows:
Day Gross
Friday Rs. 17.75 cr.
Saturday Rs. 26.00 cr.
Sunday Rs. 23.50 cr.
Monday Rs. 8.50 cr.
Tuesday Rs. 6.00 cr.
Wednesday Rs. 5.00 cr.
Thursday Rs. 4.50 cr.
Total Rs. 91.25 cr.

Breaking it into territories, Vishwanath & Sons is performing better in Telugu states, despite being an original Tamil film. The movie grossed over Rs. 38.25 crore in the Telugu states while it collected around Rs. 34.75 crore. It further fetched around Rs. 10.75 crore from Karnataka and Rs. 6.25 crore from Kerala. The rest of the Indian markets contributed around Rs.1.25 crore to the tally.

Co-starring Mamitha Baiju, Vishwanath & Sons needs a miraculous turnaround from here on to have a chance at the box office. Suriya had a big blockbuster earlier this year with Karuppu, but now he is back to pre-Karuppu levels.

Karnataka Rs. 10.75 cr.
Kerala Rs. 6.25 cr.
Rest of India Rs. 1.25 cr.
