Actor Akshaye Khanna is often known for his quiet and composed nature. However, actor Amit Behl recently recalled an incident where Akshaye strongly confronted a film’s producers and crew after witnessing unfair treatment toward a junior artist. During an interaction on YouTube channel host Siddharth Kannan’s show, Amit shared how Akshaye was upset after a character actor was reportedly stopped from having lunch with the rest of the team.

When Akshaye Khanna got angry on set

Recalling the moment, Amit explained that the junior actor was staying in a different hotel from the main cast and had come to Akshaye’s hotel during lunchtime. He said the actor had barely started eating from the buffet when someone related to the producers noticed him and questioned why he was there. Shortly after, a production member reportedly approached him and asked him not to eat the food. Hurt by the incident, the actor quietly kept his plate aside and sat alone.

According to Amit, Akshaye witnessed the situation from afar and immediately stepped in. The actor, who rarely raises his voice, reportedly gave an emotional speech about dignity, hunger, and humanity. Amit shared that Akshaye reminded the team that films are not made because of lavish arrangements or food, but because of the goodwill and blessings of the people involved. He added that it felt as if Akshaye, who usually remains silent, had finally erupted with bottled-up emotions.

On the work front, Akshaye Khanna received appreciation in 2025 for his performances in Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, and Chhaava by Laxman Utekar. His portrayals of Rehman Dakait and Aurangzeb were widely praised by audiences and critics alike.

The actor is now gearing up for his Telugu debut with Mahakali, where he will essay the role of Shukracharya in the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe. He is also set to appear as the main antagonist in the upcoming Netflix film Ikka alongside Sunny Deol, Dia Mirza, Tillotama Shome, and Sanjeeda Shaikh.
