The second season of Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa was officially launched in style ahead of its debut on Netflix. While the event generated plenty of excitement, one particular exchange during the media interaction quickly grabbed attention.
During the press conference, Riteish Deshmukh, who will be hosting the show alongside Farah Khan, was asked if he would consider inviting close friends Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt to the reality series, given their past legal troubles.
The journalist asked, “Salman Khan and Sanjay Dutt are among your closest friends. Since both have experience with lockups in real life, would you like to bring them on Netflix’s Lock Upp? And if they came, what punishment would you give them?”
The question appeared to upset Riteish, who responded firmly. He said, “First of all, I don’t think I would like to give your question any dignity by answering it.”
When the same topic was brought up again and he was asked whether he would invite the two actors, Riteish made his stance clear. “That decision isn’t mine to make. My responsibility is to host the show. As a host, I don’t know who the contestants will be. We simply interact with whoever comes on the show as guests,” he replied.
Also present at the launch was Monika Shergill, who spoke about the dynamic hosting duo. She remarked, “If anyone ever had to be in a jail-like setup, I don’t think they could ask for more entertaining jailers than Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh. It’s impossible to hide anything from Farah because she always says exactly what’s on her mind. And Riteish has a way of making you smile while simultaneously pulling you up for something. Their chemistry, wit, and playful energy will add a lot of fun and excitement to Lock Upp.”
For those unaware, Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa Season 2 is set to premiere on Netflix on June 27, 2026.
