Musafir Cafe, featuring Vikrant Massey, Vedika Pinto, and Mahima Makwana in the lead roles, premiered on Netflix on July 24, 2026. The eight-episode series has left viewers curious about its unresolved love triangle. Here’s a complete breakdown of the Season 1 ending.
Musafir Cafe Ending Explained
Musafir Cafe centres on Chander, Sudha, and Preeti, with the narrative moving between two different timelines. One storyline takes viewers back to 2018, when Chander shares a deep and passionate relationship with Sudha. The other is set in 2026 and shows Chander leading a seemingly content life with Preeti.
Chander’s life takes an unexpected turn when Sudha returns to Mussoorie, bringing back emotions and memories that he never completely managed to leave behind. Although Sudha has established herself as a successful lawyer and is preparing to begin a new chapter in Singapore, she confesses that she still feels something is missing from her life.
Chander, on the other hand, admits that he had always imagined Sudha as his life partner. However, he continues to struggle with the hurt caused by her decision to leave him in the past.
The situation takes another complicated turn when Preeti comes across the engagement ring that Mark had earlier given Chander. However, Chander had never deliberately accepted the ring as a symbol of his commitment or made up his mind about getting married, reflecting his uncertainty about where his life is headed.
As the story approaches its conclusion, Sudha’s current boyfriend, Vineet, arrives at the artists’ residency to surprise her. Although the series does not show his face, his unexpected arrival adds another layer of tension to Sudha and Chander’s already complicated relationship.
With Sudha preparing to leave for Singapore with Vineet, the chances of her and Chander rekindling their relationship appear increasingly unclear.
Who does Chander choose in the Musafir Cafe finale?
Season 1 deliberately ends without providing a definitive answer to whether Chander chooses Sudha or Preeti. The unresolved love triangle leaves his final decision open-ended while setting up the story for what comes next.
With Season 2 already confirmed, the upcoming chapter could reveal whether Sudha has genuinely returned because she wants another opportunity with Chander or whether her return to Mussoorie was simply about finding closure before moving to Singapore.
Besides Vikrant Massey, Vedika Pinto, and Mahima Makwana, the series also stars Rajeev Siddhartha, Anubha Fatehpuriya, Loveleen Mishra, Sadia Siddiqui, among others, in important roles.
Created by Sharanya Rajgopal, Musafir Cafe is based on Divya Prakash Dubey’s novel of the same name.
