The makers of Awarapan 2, the much-awaited sequel to the 2007 romantic action drama, have finally unveiled the film’s official trailer ahead of its August 14, 2026 theatrical release. Packed with intense action, emotional depth, and high-stakes drama, the trailer promises a gripping continuation of Shivam’s journey.
In the 1-minute and 25-second trailer, Emraan Hashmi reprises his role as Shivam, a man consumed by heartbreak and inner turmoil. Haunted by his past, Shivam channels his pain into relentless rage, unleashing a wave of explosive action and vengeance. With slick visuals, gritty fight sequences, and emotionally charged moments, the trailer hints at a darker and more intense chapter than its predecessor.
The film also stars Disha Patani, Shabana Azmi, Suvinder Vicky, Vijayant Kohli, Atul Kumar, Aniruddh Rawal, and Puran Gabbi in pivotal roles.
Directed by Nitin Kakkar and written by Bilal Siddiqui, Awarapan 2 features a background score by Raju Singh, while its soundtrack has been composed by Mithoon, Amaal Mallik, Jeet Gannguli, and Akhil Sachdeva. The cinematography is handled by Vishnu Rao, with Devendra Murdeshwar serving as the editor.
Recently certified UA 16+, the film has a runtime of 2 hours and 20 minutes. It continues the story of Shivam, first introduced in Mohit Suri’s 2007 cult classic Awarapan, which also starred Shriya Saran, Mrinalini Sharma, and Ashutosh Rana.
Following Awarapan 2, Emraan Hashmi will appear in the spy action thriller G2 alongside Adivi Sesh, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Madhu Shalini. He also has the musical horror film Rooh in the pipeline.
