Khatron Ke Khiladi 15 contestant Shagun Sharma has finally spoken about the controversy surrounding the recent elimination task, sharing her perspective on what happened. The Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 actress took to her Instagram Stories and posted a detailed note explaining the circumstances surrounding the task. She claimed that a crucial portion of the conversation was edited out of the televised episode. Shagun also questioned the idea that someone should be sent for a stunt simply because they were “not getting footage.”
‘You are young… you are not getting footage’
Looking back at the conversation, Shagun revealed that the contestants had an understanding from the beginning that the person losing the task would be considered for the Pain Auction. She explained that when Rohit Shetty asked the contestants to suggest two names, discussions began over who would be the second person.
According to Shagun, during the discussion, someone said, “I am older, I know the industry better, you are young hence I am telling you to take Fear Funda because you are not getting footage, and doing this stunt will give you footage.”
Shagun Sharma says crucial context was left out
Shagun further explained why she disagreed with this argument. According to the actress, lack of screen time should not be treated as a valid reason to nominate someone for Fear Funda, particularly when the person is younger and has already gone through an extremely difficult Pain Auction.
She pointed out that viewers were shown only the final portion of the reasoning, which, according to her, changed the way her reaction could be perceived.
Shagun also addressed the way conversations are edited for television. She said she had specifically requested the team to either present the complete context or leave the conversation out altogether, as showing only half of an exchange could lead viewers to form an entirely different impression.
The actress also stressed that finding a stunt difficult should not be confused with being dishonest during interviews. Her comments appear to be connected to her earlier allegations involving Gaurav Khanna, whom she had previously accused of bullying her during her time on the show.
Concluding her statement, Shagun shared a strong message about standing up for oneself, regardless of the stature or popularity of the person involved.
