Jungkook opens up about an uncomfortable encounter with a fan
Reflecting on a recent outing, Jungkook shared that he had gone alone to watch the Korean film Hope. As he exited the cinema, he was approached by a few fans who politely asked if they could take photos with him. Appreciating their courteous behavior, the singer gladly posed for pictures and enjoyed the brief interaction.
The situation, however, changed when he later stopped by a nearby bakery. According to Jungkook, one fan suddenly came up to him and pointed a camera directly at his face without asking for permission.
Speaking about the incident during the livestream, the Golden singer admitted that the experience made him uncomfortable. He said, “I had gone into a bakery to buy some bread, and all of a sudden there was someone standing right in front of me with a camera pointed at me like this.”
The BTS star added that he found the behavior disrespectful, saying, “I don’t really think that’s very respectful. I don’t care how old you are or where you’re from… just sticking a camera in someone’s face like that… I felt that was kind of rude.”
The 28-year-old clarified that he has no issue interacting with fans in public, but emphasized that people should respect consent and personal space. This is not the first time Jungkook has spoken about maintaining boundaries. He has previously called out obsessive fans for sending unauthorized food deliveries to his home and attempting to enter his residence without permission.
Following the livestream, fans flooded social media in support of the singer, echoing his message and urging others to respect idols’ privacy and treat them with the same courtesy and consideration they would expect in everyday life.
