The musical journey of Awarapan 2 has officially begun. Following the buzz created by the teaser and the first song, the makers have now released the much-awaited title track, Yeh Awarapan.
Starring Emraan Hashmi, who is synonymous with intense romantic dramas, the song brings back the emotional essence associated with the 2007 original. Adding further excitement for music lovers is the presence of popular singer Arijit Singh, who has lent his voice to the track.
As per the makers, the song beautifully connects the protagonist’s past and present, highlighting how his only constant companion throughout his journey remains his awarapan.
Composed by Amaal Mallik and penned by Rashmi Virag, Yeh Awarapan dives deep into the emotional turmoil of the film’s protagonist, Shivam Pandit.
The song explores his journey across different phases of his life, blending his past with the present. Through pain, heartbreak and emotional turmoil, the track underlines the fact that loneliness continues to be his one constant companion.
The line, “Saath de raha hai bas mera, Yeh Awarapan,” perfectly sums up the soul of the song. Amaal Mallik’s composition further enhances the melancholic mood with the use of soulful piano notes and electric guitar arrangements.
