Akanksha Chamola has made another deeply personal revelation on Lock Upp 2, days after confirming that she and husband Gaurav Khanna have decided to separate. During the reality show, the actress shared that she identified as bisexual before getting married and had been in relationships with women.
The topic came up after fellow contestant Shreya Kalra mentioned that she had overheard Akanksha discussing her sexuality with Sufi Motiwala backstage. Addressing it herself, an emotional Akanksha said, “Before my marriage, I identified as bisexual. I have been in relationships with a few women. They weren’t deeply intimate relationships, but I have been involved with some women.”
She further explained that she has always admired and felt attracted to women, describing them as her “safe space.” Akanksha said she cherishes feminine energy and the comfort she has found in her relationships with women. She also spoke about societal stereotypes, saying she never believed women were inherently jealous or competitive with one another and that, for her, love goes beyond labels.
Earlier, Akanksha had revealed that she and Gaurav Khanna had mutually decided to end their marriage. She shared that the two had been living separately for the past year while discussing their future.
The actress also clarified that there is no animosity between them. According to Akanksha, they remain in touch and simply realized they were not the right life partners, as they wanted different things from life.
