Emraan Hashmi is all set to reprise his much-loved character, Shivam Pandit, in Awarapan 2, which is gearing up for its theatrical release. With fans eagerly awaiting the sequel for nearly two decades, the makers are putting together an extensive promotional campaign to ensure the film makes a grand impact at the box office. As the project enters its final phase, fresh details about its teaser launch and marketing plans.
According to exclusive information obtained, the teaser of Awarapan 2 will be unveiled on June 29, 2026. The date carries special significance as it marks the 19th anniversary of the original Awarapan, a film that has gone on to achieve cult status over the years. The makers have deliberately chosen the occasion as a tribute to the legacy of the 2007 classic.
Meanwhile, the promotional campaign is set to begin shortly. A source close to the development shared, “Producer Vishesh Bhatt will soon launch the official logo of Awarapan 2 through a unique digital reveal. The logo launch will also confirm the teaser release date.”
The source further added, “The team has chalked out a month-long promotional strategy for Awarapan 2 to steadily build excitement and keep the buzz around the film alive.” Following the logo and teaser launch, the makers will turn their focus to the film’s music, which is expected to be one of the sequel’s biggest highlights. The soundtrack will feature fresh compositions alongside recreated versions of the beloved songs Toh Phir Aao and Tera Mera Rishta from the original film.
For those unaware, Awarapan 2 stars Emraan Hashmi in the lead alongside Disha Patani and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles. Produced under the Vishesh Films banner, the sequel is directed by Nitin Kakkar, best known for Filmistaan, Ram Singh Charlie, Notebook, and several other projects.
