Fans of action-packed entertainers finally have something to celebrate. Yash Raj Films has unveiled the much-awaited teaser of Alpha, directed by The Railway Men filmmaker Shiv Rawail. The movie marks a significant milestone for the YRF Spy Universe as its first-ever female-led action spectacle.
Alpha teaser unveiled
The nearly two-minute teaser introduces viewers to a dark, dangerous world filled with high-stakes missions and emotional conflict. It begins on a seemingly heartwarming note, with a father and daughter sharing a meal at a restaurant.
Bobby Deol plays the role of the father figure and mentor to Sita, portrayed by Alia Bhatt. Believing her father has arranged a special dinner to celebrate her 18th birthday, Sita is initially delighted. However, the mood soon shifts when he reveals that the occasion is actually the beginning of her first mission. Instead of a birthday gift, he hands her a code that unlocks a secret room.
The revelation leaves Sita disappointed, as she realizes the celebration was merely a setup for an assignment. During their conversation, her father reminds her that she has been trained for this path since childhood. He pushes her to embrace her destiny and become the country’s most skilled and formidable next-generation operative.
A recurring theme throughout the teaser is the idea that she comes from a lineage of wolves. Her father repeatedly tells her that a wolf’s daughter must also become a wolf. What follows is a series of intense action-packed moments as Sita dives headfirst into a perilous mission. Sporting an “Alpha” tattoo on her forearm, she fully embraces her transformation into a fearless warrior.
Describing the film, the makers stated that Alpha is designed as a thrilling, edge-of-the-seat entertainer centered around a powerful female protagonist. At its core lies the origin story of a young woman who has been raised and conditioned to become a deadly weapon.
While the teaser heavily focuses on the intriguing relationship between Alia Bhatt and Bobby Deol, the film also boasts an impressive ensemble cast. Sharvari plays a key role alongside Alia, with both women joining forces against a dangerous adversary. Anil Kapoor is also set to appear in a pivotal role.
