Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla, directed by Priyadarshan, collected Rs. 65 lakh on the 5th Wednesday at the Indian box office, with the running total just shy of Rs. 160 crore. The movie is now running in its final legs. Going by the present trends, the horror comedy will close its entire theatrical run around the Rs. 165 crore mark or so.
Surpassing Housefull 5’s lifetime cume of Rs. 168 crore now seems difficult. Nevertheless, Bhooth Bangla has already emerged as a Clean Hit venture, ending the drought for Akshay Kumar, who was going through a rough patch post-pandemic.
The industry tends to have a good time when Akshay Kumar delivers hits. He makes sure to do two or three HITs or successful films a year; it is equally important, as that keeps the box office ticking. This is something where Akshay Kumar stands out, as others in the industry, except Ajay Devgn, have significantly lower output, with some of them taking two or three years for one film instead. The box office in India is star-driven; it cannot be in good shape if leading stars are not bringing films regularly.
The Box Office Collections for Bhooth Bangla in India are as follows:

Week Two Rs. 40.75 cr.
