Now, the superstar is gearing up for another big-screen family entertainer with ace director Anees Bazmee. Production house Sri Venkateswara Creations recently confirmed that their upcoming collaboration, backed by Dil Raju, will release in cinemas this December.

The blockbuster duo is officially reuniting! Akshay Kumar and Anees Bazmee are all set to deliver a wholesome family entertainer under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations. The makers have announced that the untitled comedy-drama will arrive in theatres worldwide on December 4, 2026.
Sharing the update on X, the production house wrote, “IN CINEMAS WORLDWIDE – DECEMBER 4th, 2026. More updates soon!!”
The collaboration marks Akshay and Bazmee’s reunion after nearly 15 years since Thank You. The duo has previously delivered iconic entertainers like Welcome and Singh Is Kinng, making fans excited for yet another laughter-filled ride.
Adding to the anticipation, reports suggest that Vidya Balan plays the female lead, while Raashii Khanna has a pivotal role in the film. The ensemble cast also includes Vijay Raaz, Sudesh Lehri, and Rajpal Yadav.
The team recently wrapped a shooting schedule in Kerala. Sharing a cheerful picture with his co-stars, Akshay revealed they had completed the “Keralam schedule” and praised the cast and crew for making the experience memorable.
Meanwhile, Akshay already has an exciting slate ahead with Welcome to the Jungle lined up for release in June 2026, alongside several other anticipated projects.
