by masalabuzz

Ranbir Kapoor is strategically planning his next career move during what could be a defining phase for him. Currently busy with Ramayana and Love & War, both expected to wrap by October 2026, the actor has already begun considering his next project before stepping into Animal Park.

Sources indicate that Ranbir is reviewing multiple scripts, aiming to lock in one film that can begin production before Animal Park, which is slated for a late 2027 start. Among the top contenders are Brahmastra 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, and Dhoom 4, backed by Yash Raj Films.

According to insiders, Ranbir has heard initial concepts for both films and is impressed with the worlds they aim to build. However, he is waiting for finalized scripts before making a commitment. Each project comes with its own set of challenges—Dhoom 4 is still in early development without a confirmed director, while Brahmastra 2 is dealing with casting uncertainties. The sequel was initially expected to feature Deepika Padukone in a key role, but the makers are now exploring alternatives.

At the moment, Brahmastra 2 appears to have a slight edge as his potential next project. Still, industry dynamics can shift quickly, and several factors need to align before the film goes on floors. Ranbir is expected to make a clearer decision by mid-2026 after reviewing final drafts.

Meanwhile, he continues to meet filmmakers and explore fresh opportunities to fill the gap between Ramayana 2 and Animal Park. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga is already in discussions with him regarding Animal Park, which is expected to begin production toward the end of 2027.

For now, fans will have to wait and see which direction Ranbir Kapoor chooses next.
