The actor, now sporting long hair, looked strikingly different from his earlier on-screen persona, yet retained his signature charm. He kept it casual in a cream T-shirt paired with denim jeans.
A look back at Aashiqui
Released in 1990 and directed by Mahesh Bhatt, Aashiqui told the story of Rahul and Anu, two individuals who meet by chance and fall in love while navigating personal struggles.
With Rahul portrayed as an aspiring singer and Anu chasing a modeling career, their relationship is tested by ambition, ego clashes, and life’s challenges. The film explored whether love could survive amidst these differences.
The film also starred Anu Aggarwal, along with Deepak Tijori, Avtar Gill, Reema Lagoo, and Tom Alter in key roles.
Produced by Gulshan Kumar under Super Cassettes Industries (now T-Series), the film’s music by Nadeem–Shravan became a massive hit and remains evergreen.
