Speaking to photographers at the airport, Rajinikanth said, “Jailer 2 is almost complete; it is in the finishing stage. The release date will be announced by the production company soon. KHxRK, directed by Nelson, will begin shooting in August 2026.”

Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 sees Rajinikanth reprising his iconic role as “Tiger” Muthuvel Pandian. The action-comedy sequel will also bring back familiar faces like Mohanlal and Shiva Rajkumar in their respective roles.
