Seema Sajdeh’s life came into the public eye in a big way after her appearance on Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. But behind the glamour, she’s also been navigating a deeply personal chapter — her separation from Sohail Khan, whom she divorced in 2022.
In a recent interview, Seema opened up about that period and spoke candidly about the unexpected but unwavering support she received from Salman Khan and the entire Khan family during her divorce.
“The Family Has Always Stood by Me”
Seema and Sohail, who share two sons — Nirvan and Yohan — were married for several years before deciding to part ways. While separations are often complicated, Seema says she never felt alone.
Speaking to Usha Kakade Productions, she revealed that not just Salman, but the whole Khan family stood firmly by her side. She recalled Salman reminding her that divorce doesn’t change one important truth — she will always be the mother of Sohail’s children.
“The family has stood by me in so many moments,” Seema said, adding that even during arguments with Sohail, the Khans would often take her side.
Support That Didn’t End With Divorce
That bond, Seema says, hasn’t faded with time. Even today, the family continues to support her, especially when it comes to their 14-year-old son Yohan. She still feels completely comfortable reaching out to Salman’s sisters, Alvira and Arpita, and brother Arbaaz Khan whenever she needs help.
“They are always there. I may be divorced, but my children are half Khan and half Sajdeh — so through them, this will always be my family,” she shared.
Growing Apart, Not Falling Out
Reflecting on her marriage, Seema explained that she and Sohail were very young when they tied the knot. As they grew older, they grew in different directions and eventually realized they were better off as friends than life partners.
“We separated amicably, but only as husband and wife. To this day, we are a family. He is the father of my children, and that can never change,” she said.
“Like Hum Saath Saath Hain”
Describing the Khan family dynamic, Seema compared them to the close-knit family portrayed in the classic film Hum Saath Saath Hain.
“They are always together. They never made me feel unwelcome,” she said, emphasizing that despite the divorce, she was never made to feel like an outsider.
For Seema Sajdeh, the end of a marriage didn’t mean the end of family — and that’s a sentiment that has deeply resonated with fans.
