Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar has truly taken the Indian box office by storm. Powered by blockbuster action and strong word-of-mouth, the film continues to rake in impressive numbers with each passing day. While the performances of the cast have been widely appreciated, there’s one element of the film that audiences simply can’t stop talking about — the song ‘Fa9la’.
For those who’ve watched the film, Fa9la plays during Akshaye Khanna’s stylish entry, a moment that instantly grabbed attention and stayed with viewers long after they left the theatres. The song has since become a viral sensation, and many fans have been curious to know — who is the voice behind this powerful track? The answer is Flipperachi, a talented rapper who is now making waves in India.
Know more about Flipperachi
Akshaye Khanna’s return to the big screen has been met with overwhelming praise. Few expected the actor — once known for his romantic roles — to reinvent himself so convincingly as a ruthless, commanding force. His transformation into a cold, calculating antagonist made a strong impact, but what truly amplified his screen presence was the Arabic rap track playing in the background as he made his entry.
The song, titled ‘Fa9la’ (Fasla), was created by Bahraini rapper Flipperachi. Interestingly, the track wasn’t originally composed for Dhurandhar. Flipperachi had released Fa9la on his YouTube channel in June 2024, long before the film hit theatres. However, once the song featured in the movie, it found a whole new audience in India, quickly climbing music charts and dominating social media reels and edits.
According to Flipperachi, Fa9la was produced by DJ Outlaw, who collaborated with multiple artists to craft what has now become one of the most recognisable tracks of the year.
Flipperachi, whose real name is Hussam Mohammed Aseem, is a well-known name in the Arab hip-hop scene. His original music and international collaborations have earned him widespread recognition, including the title of Bahraini Artist of the Year last year.
Coming back to Dhurandhar, the film marks Aditya Dhar’s second directorial venture after Article 370. Headlined by Ranveer Singh, who plays Indian spy Jaskirat Singh Rangi, also known as Hamza Ali Mazari, the action-packed spy thriller features Akshaye Khanna in the role of Rehman Dakait. The ensemble cast also includes R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Saumya Tandon, Gaurav Gera, and several others.
Following the massive success of the film, the makers are already planning to expand the franchise, with Dhurandhar: Part 2 expected to release by 2026.
