BLACKPINK is turning its attention back to individual activities following the group’s 10th anniversary on August 8, 2026. After completing their world tour and releasing their third EP in February, Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa are now gearing up for new solo releases, while Rosé remains the only member yet to announce fresh solo music for 2026.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie, Jisoo and Lisa gear up for new solo releases

According to The Korea Herald, BLACKPINK’s group activities have wrapped up for now, with three members preparing to return to their individual music careers.

Jennie kicked off the new solo cycle with her digital EP Fallen Angel, released around a year and five months after her debut studio album Ruby. The three-track project features the title track alongside Heaven and Less Than a Lover. The latter was released in advance on July 24 and is an alternative pop song that Jennie co-wrote and co-composed.

Less Than a Lover reportedly topped iTunes’ Top Songs charts in 27 regions following its release.

Jisoo is next in line with her new single Click, scheduled to arrive on September 4. The release marks her first solo music since last year’s EP Amortage. She also collaborated with Zayn on Eyes Closed in October 2025, which debuted at No. 72 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Meanwhile, Lisa is preparing her next studio album, Press Play, which is slated for release on October 23. Before the six-track album arrives, she will drop SaWaDiKa on September 3. The title takes inspiration from the Thai greeting “sawasdee ka,” with the upcoming album expected to incorporate elements of Lisa’s Thai heritage and her experiences as a global artist.

Press Play will arrive around a year and eight months after Lisa’s first full-length album, Alter Ego, which featured songs including Rockstar, New Woman and Born Again.

BLACKPINK members continue their individual musical journeys

The latest solo releases follow a similar pattern to BLACKPINK’s previous individual music cycle after the members parted ways with YG Entertainment for their solo activities.

Lisa began that phase with Rockstar in 2024, followed by Jennie’s Mantra, Rosé’s global hit APT. with Bruno Mars, and Jisoo’s Earthquake.

With Jennie’s Fallen Angel already out and Jisoo and Lisa preparing their respective releases, Rosé is currently the only BLACKPINK member who has not announced new solo music for 2026.
