Akanksha Chamola says she wants to move on
In an interview with Hindustan Times, Akanksha rejected allegations that she spoke about her marriage and separation as a publicity strategy. She explained that sharing personal experiences was part of the format of Lock Upp 2 and that her intention was simply to be truthful about her journey.
She said the show encouraged contestants to open up about themselves and reveal experiences and secrets they had kept private for years. According to Akanksha, that was precisely what she did, rather than attempting to create a particular public narrative.
The actress also pointed out that there were several other aspects of the situation that she had already addressed on multiple occasions. However, she now wants to step away from the repeated cycle of explaining herself and proving her perspective.
Speaking about the public scrutiny she has experienced, Akanksha said she has faced questions about her personal life for years, both during her marriage and after announcing her separation. She emphasised that certain circumstances can only truly be understood by the people directly involved.
Akanksha added that she has already said everything she felt necessary to say and now prefers choosing peace over constantly offering explanations.
