Veteran actress Radikaa Sarathkumar displayed extraordinary professionalism while working on Vishwanath & Sons after receiving the heartbreaking news of her mother Geetha Radha’s demise. The actress was in the middle of filming a comedy sequence when she learned about the loss. Despite the personal tragedy, Radikaa reportedly requested that she be allowed to complete the scene before leaving the sets.
Director Venky Atluri, along with actors Suriya and Mamitha Baiju, recently opened up about the emotional incident during an interview released by the film’s production house, Sithara Entertainments. According to them, around 85 per cent of the comedy sequence had already been completed, and Radikaa felt it would be more practical to finish the remaining portion rather than reshoot the entire scene later.
Recalling the incident, Venky Atluri said, “We were shooting a proper comedy scene. It was a proper comedy scene, and that was when the news came that Radikaa ma’am’s mother had just passed away. But she asked, ‘Can I finish this scene and leave?’ I froze for a second and just went completely blank.”
The unexpected news reportedly left the entire team on the set shocked. Radikaa’s decision to complete the sequence despite her personal loss was remembered by the director and her co-stars as an example of her immense dedication and professionalism. Suriya and Mamitha Baiju also spoke about the veteran actress’s composure and strength while recounting the difficult experience.
