After a much-anticipated return to television, Bigg Boss 16 star Priyanka Chahar Choudhary is back in the spotlight as the new face of Naagin 7. Stepping into a franchise once led by popular names like Mouni Roy and Tejasswi Prakash, Priyanka knows the expectations are high—but she’s approaching the moment with confidence and clarity.

Following the show’s premiere on Colors, Priyanka opened up about her journey from reality TV to leading Ektaa Kapoor’s iconic supernatural series. When asked about the pressure of following in the footsteps of former Naagins, she chose gratitude over nerves. She shared that while she deeply respects the legacy created by Mouni and Tejasswi, she isn’t trying to replicate anyone. Instead, her focus is on bringing her own individuality and honesty to the role.

“There’s excitement, not fear,” she explained, adding that Naagin is an iconic franchise for a reason. Rather than feeling burdened by comparisons, she sees this as an opportunity to grow and connect with audiences in her own way.

Priyanka also addressed long-standing speculation about when she actually landed the role. Clearing the air, she revealed that she signed Naagin 7 while she was still inside the Bigg Boss 16 house, shutting down rumours that the deal was locked in beforehand.

Fans had noticed that she was selective with her work after Bigg Boss, and Priyanka confirmed that the break was intentional. She explained that she didn’t want to rush into projects just to stay visible. For her, longevity mattered more than speed. In that time, she worked on Dus June Ki Raat and a few music videos, choosing projects that felt right rather than taking on everything that came her way.

Reflecting on her Bigg Boss 16 journey, where she finished as the third runner-up, Priyanka shared that she holds no regrets. While winning would have been special, she believes the love and support she received from fans mattered far more than a trophy. That connection, she says, is something she’ll always treasure.

As Naagin 7 unfolds, Priyanka Chahar Choudhary seems ready—not to live up to someone else’s legacy, but to create her own.
