Prabhas Talks About His 2026 Film Lineup: Two Releases This Year, One Delayed
Prabhas was recently spotted chatting with the team of Couple Friendly, where he opened up about his 2026 film plans. The Rebel Star had originally hoped to give fans three films this year. However, despite working on three projects, only two will actually make it to theaters in 2026.
“I know what you all want,” Prabhas said. “That’s why I’m trying to do three movies per year. But because of release schedules, only two are coming this year.”
The 2026 Releases
From his lineup, The Raja Saab hit theaters during Sankranti. This horror-comedy, directed by Maruthi, follows Raja as he clashes with the malevolent spirit of his late grandfather in a haunted mansion. The film also starred Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar. While the movie received a lukewarm response from critics and audiences, it’s now available for streaming on JioHotstar.
Prabhas’ second 2026 release, Fauzi, is a period epic set to hit the big screens during Dussehra. He plays a soldier in the Azad Hind Force, with the story offering a fictionalized retelling of historical events. Internet sensation Imanvi stars opposite him, with veterans Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada, and Anupam Kher in supporting roles.
The third film, Spirit, which was initially slated for a 2026 release, has been pushed to March 5, 2027.
Looking Ahead
Prabhas’ schedule shows he’s committed to giving fans plenty of content, even if logistical challenges sometimes get in the way. Between The Raja Saab, Fauzi, and the upcoming Spirit, 2026 and early 2027 promise to be an exciting period for fans of the Baahubali star.
