Ramayana is one of the most-awaited Indian films of 2026, and the makers are set to kick off its promotional campaign with a grand trailer launch later this month. Ahead of its debut, two trailer versions of Ramayana: Part One have reportedly received certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
Two trailer versions of Ramayana reportedly receive CBFC clearance
According to listings on the CBFC website, two separate trailer cuts of Ramayana: Part One were certified on July 15. One version is listed as “Trailer – Ramayana 3D”, while the other is titled “Theatrical Trailer – Ramayana 3D.”
Both trailers have been granted a ‘U’ (Universal) certificate. However, they differ slightly in duration. One has a runtime of 4 minutes and 15 seconds, while the other runs for 4 minutes. It remains to be seen which version will be unveiled during the film’s worldwide trailer launch on July 24.
Grand global launch planned at San Diego Comic-Con
The makers are reportedly taking the promotional campaign to an international stage by unveiling the trailer at San Diego Comic-Con 2026. Reports suggest the team has secured Ballroom 20, one of the event’s largest panel venues with a seating capacity of around 5,000 attendees.
The launch is expected to be attended by Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, producer Namit Malhotra, and director Nitesh Tiwari, making it one of the biggest global showcases for an Indian film.
A few days ago, Namit Malhotra officially announced the trailer launch date through a special note, describing Ramayana as a cinematic retelling of one of India’s greatest civilisational epics and confirming that the trailer will premiere worldwide on July 24.
