The casting buzz surrounding director Matt Reeves’ upcoming sequel, The Batman: Part II, has taken a surprising new turn. While earlier reports claimed that Marvel star Sebastian Stan had been cast as Gotham City District Attorney Harvey Dent, fresh industry chatter suggests a completely different role may be in store for him.
Is Sebastian Stan Playing Victor Zsasz Instead of Harvey Dent?
According to a report from The InSneider, Sebastian Stan is now rumored to be portraying the sinister villain Victor Zsasz rather than Harvey Dent. In DC Comics lore, Zsasz is known as a ruthless serial killer who marks his body with a tally for every victim he claims. The character’s disturbing nature fits perfectly within the dark, grounded world established by Matt Reeves in The Batman (2022). Adding fuel to the speculation, Stan’s recent appearances with a shaved head have prompted fans to connect the look to the infamous villain.
Brian Tyree Henry Reportedly Eyed for Harvey Dent
The same report suggests that actor Brian Tyree Henry, already confirmed to be part of the sequel, could be taking on the role of Harvey Dent. If true, Henry would portray Gotham’s ambitious district attorney, whose tragic transformation eventually leads to the emergence of the iconic villain Two-Face.
