Global pop icon, Taylor Swift, took to social media to confirm that she has created a song for Toy Story 5. The diva revealed that the track will be gifted to the audience on June 5, 2026, ahead of the film’s release on June 19, 2026.

Taking to her Instagram, the Love Story singer expressed her lifelong love for the cartoon characters. “It’s a *Toy* Story. You knew it. My new original song “I Knew It, I Knew You” for Disney and @pixar’s @toystory 5 will be yours on June 5,” Taylor eagerly shared.

She added in the caption of her post, “I’ve always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I’ve adored since I was a 5-year-old kid watching the first Toy Story movie. I fell instantly in love with Toy Story 5 when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening. Sometimes you just know, right?”

Co-written and co-produced with her longtime creative partner, Jack Antonoff, the track reflects Taylor’s beloved country roots. Toy Story 5 is set to hit theaters worldwide on June 19, 2026.

The film will see Tom Hanks and Tim Allen return as Woody and Buzz Lightyear. Apparently, the beloved toys will face their toughest modern enemy, a brand-new children’s tablet called the Lilypad. Taylor Swift’s single drops this Friday, June 5, 2026.
