Kiara Advani says postpartum transformed her life
Talking honestly about postpartum struggles, Kiara Advani said that the subject is rarely discussed openly despite affecting many women deeply. She described motherhood as a major shift in identity and admitted that it can be difficult for women to be kind to themselves while adjusting to such a life-changing phase. Kiara shared that it took her nearly six months to learn how to give herself grace and accept the emotional journey that came with becoming a mother.
The actress explained that motherhood forced her to slow down and reconnect with herself. She revealed that for most of her life she had focused on caring for others, often neglecting her own emotional needs. However, after her daughter’s birth, she consciously started nurturing her relationship with herself, something she called one of the most important lessons she has learned.
Kiara also shared that motherhood taught her to establish healthier boundaries and stop being excessively self-critical. She admitted that she had to consciously train herself not to operate from fear or constantly judge her actions, adding that these emotional changes became an important part of her growth during the last six months.
