Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh recently shared the joyful news of expecting their second child. Even amid the celebrations, Deepika has returned to work, joining the shoot of King in South Africa alongside Shah Rukh Khan.
Deepika resumes shooting in South Africa
The actress was spotted filming for King at a scenic South African location, where she reunited with Shah Rukh Khan. In fan-captured photos circulating online, the two stars are seen walking hand-in-hand, seemingly filming a romantic sequence, while surrounded by the film’s crew.
Shah Rukh Khan appeared in a stylish striped shirt paired with formal trousers and sunglasses, while Deepika opted for an elegant off-white floral maxi dress. She kept her look subtle and graceful, with her styling cleverly concealing any visible baby bump, and appeared cheerful during the shoot.
No pause on work despite pregnancy
Despite being in the early stages of her second pregnancy, Deepika has chosen to continue working, putting aside speculation about taking a break and focusing on her professional commitments.
Upcoming projects
Apart from King, Deepika is also working on a major project with Allu Arjun and Atlee. The film, tentatively known as AA22xA6, has reportedly been titled Raaka. The action sci-fi thriller also stars Mrunal Thakur, though its release date has not yet been announced.
Meanwhile, King, directed by Siddharth Anand, is aiming for a Christmas release. Featuring a star-studded cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Abhishek Bachchan, the film is scheduled to hit theatres on December 24, 2026.
