Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge is going strong at the box office, with shows filling up quickly and audience interest continuing to grow. At the same time, Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Bhooth Bangla.

With both films in the spotlight, the big question is—will Dhurandhar’s success affect Bhooth Bangla’s performance?

Dhurandhar vs Bhooth Bangla: What Akshay Kumar Says

Akshay Kumar, who is currently busy promoting Bhooth Bangla, was asked about the strong run of Dhurandhar: The Revenge and whether it could impact his film’s box office prospects ahead of its April 10, 2026 release.

The actor had a positive take. He said he’s happy to see Dhurandhar doing so well and drawing large crowds to theatres. According to him, such success is good for the entire film industry.

He also pointed out that timing shouldn’t be a major issue.
“Three weeks is usually enough,” he explained, adding that a 21-day window gives films enough breathing space to perform.

Different Films, Different Audiences

Akshay also made it clear that the two films cater to completely different audiences.

While Dhurandhar: The Revenge is an action-heavy film aimed at adults, Bhooth Bangla is a light-hearted horror-comedy designed for families and kids.

He emphasized that Bhooth Bangla wasn’t made to follow trends, but simply to tell a good story. The focus, he said, was always on the script rather than what’s currently popular.

About Bhooth Bangla

After several delays, Bhooth Bangla is finally set to hit theatres on April 10, 2026.

The film also marks Akshay Kumar’s reunion with director Priyadarshan after more than a decade. Backed by producers Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, the movie features a strong ensemble cast including Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, and Wamiqa Gabbi.

The Bigger Picture

At the end of the day, Akshay Kumar sees the success of Dhurandhar as a win for Bollywood overall. With both films targeting different audiences, there’s room for each to succeed—making it a healthy time for the box office.
