Adivi Sesh’s much-awaited spy thriller G2 is set to hit theatres on May 1, 2026. Ahead of its release, Amazon Prime Video has confirmed that the film will be available on the platform after its theatrical run.
Along with the announcement, the makers also shared a glimpse into the film’s storyline—and it looks bigger and more intense than before.
A bigger, global mission this time
According to the official synopsis, G2 picks up six years after the events of Goodachari.
This time, Sesh returns as Agent Gopi, who is now on a high-stakes international mission. As the story unfolds, it not only deals with global threats but also dives deeper into his past, uncovering long-hidden secrets.
The sequel promises a mix of patriotism, sacrifice, and high-octane action, with major sequences shot across five different countries—hinting at a much larger scale than the first film.

For those unfamiliar, Goodachari followed Gopi (also known as Arjun Kumar), a young man who joins a secret RAW unit called “Trinetra” to honor his late father’s legacy.
However, his life takes a dramatic turn when he’s framed for murder. Forced to go rogue, he sets out to prove his innocence—only to uncover a deeper conspiracy tied to his father’s past.
G2 will explore what happens next in his journey, as new threats emerge and his role as a spy evolves.

Alongside Adivi Sesh, the film features Emraan Hashmi in a key role, along with Wamiqa Gabbi, Madhu Shalini, and Prakash Raj.
Like the first film, Sesh has also contributed to the writing, continuing his creative involvement in the franchise.

Apart from G2, Adivi Sesh will also be seen in Dacoit: A Love Story. The film stars Mrunal Thakur and Anurag Kashyap in key roles.
Directed by Shaneil Deo, it tells the story of a convict seeking revenge on his ex-girlfriend after a betrayal, blending romance with action and emotional drama.
The film was initially planned for a March 2026 release but is now scheduled to hit theatres on April 10, 2026.
