Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla Release Moves Up: Fans to See the Comedy-Horror Film on April 10, 2026

Good news for Akshay Kumar fans — the wait just got a little shorter! The upcoming comedy-horror Bhooth Bangla has officially preponed its theatrical release to April 10, 2026, more than a month earlier than the originally planned date of May 15.

Announcing the change on February 7, Akshay shared a playful post on Instagram:

“Bhooth Bangla ka countdown rewind! 15 May → 10 April. Milte hain theatres mein.”

The announcement came with a fun clip featuring a mischievous black cat. In the video, the cat scratches off the old date on a calendar, knocks over a milk bowl, purrs loudly, and licks the new date into place — perfectly setting the tone for the film’s “expect the unexpected” vibe.

Produced under Balaji Motion Pictures in association with Cape of Good Films, the film stars Akshay Kumar alongside Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, and Rajpal Yadav. It’s directed by Priyadarshan and marks his reunion with Akshay after 14 years; the duo last worked together on Khatta Meetha (2010) and have a history of hits like Hera Pheri, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and De Dana Dan.

Details about the plot are still under wraps, but Bhooth Bangla is expected to be a genre-driven story centered around a haunted house, with themes rooted in Indian mythology and black magic, including references to the Vedas.

With Priyadarshan’s signature style and Akshay’s comedic timing, fans are in for a thrilling, fun-packed ride — and now, they won’t have to wait as long to experience it in theaters.
